As you can see the bulk of the paving work has been completed.  There are a number of finishing touches that will be done as we move ahead.  Here are some of the items that are upcoming:

1. Finish installation of raised manholes and water junctions.  Working on these today, February 6.

2. Direct discharge drain retro fit.  Working today February 6.

3. Cleanup of the paving edges and installation of asphalt millings transition.  Next up.

4. Completion of retention area

5.  Evaluate road to yard elevation transitions, and plan for adjustments as needed.

6.  Add sod as required by plans and permits.  Note we may elect to hold sod installation until the rainy season to assure growth, and with the permission of the permitting authorities.

7. Finalize safety recommendations.

Dear Neighbors,

Those of you currently in residence know that staging of road preparation for paving has begun.  To those homeowners not in residence, we will be sending updates as work progresses.

To date, the trenching and berm building in the retention area which comply with city requirement is about 70% complete.

Work will begin on side roads first (Rue Helene, Rue Bayou, Rue Ruelle), and then move on to Rue Belle Mer.

Rue Helene and Rue Ruelle have been staked out, and several loads of millings have been brought in. Grading and base building did start today.

We will send periodic updates and thank you for your continued patience during these improvements.

Best Wishes,

Lisa Schmidlin
